Terrence Montague, author of: “Patients First – Closing the Health Care Gap in Canada”;
and “Patient Health Management for Dummies”, is a cardiologist and health care consultant, with a focus on optimizing the care and outcomes of our aging patients with chronic diseases.

A graduate in science, from St. Francis Xavier University, and medicine, from Dalhousie University, he was formerly Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta and Visiting Professor of Medicine at the University of Montreal, as well as Vice President of Patient Health at Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. Currently, a Principal in CareNet Corporation Ltd., he is also active as: Scientific Officer, Canadian Institutes of Health Research; and, member of the Board of Directors, Canadian Arthritis Network, the Editorial Boards of Healthcare Quarterly and HealthcarePapers, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Royal Canadian Military Institute, the Royal Canadian Regiment Association and the President’s Club of Saint Francis Xavier University.
