O'Brien Foundation Fellowships reception update...

Dear Alumni and Friends of the O'Brien Foundation,

Under normal circumstances, this is the time of year when you might expect to receive an invitation in the mail to a reception in honour of new recipients of O'Brien Fellowships, hosted by the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick. The reception could not be held last year due to the pandemic, but with fewer restrictions this year, the Lieutenant Governor has graciously offered to recognize the O'Brien Fellowship recipients of 2020 and 2021 at a small reception to be held at Government House later this month. Out of an abundance of caution and respect for the safety of all O'Brien Fellows and friends, invitees will include only the twenty new Fellows and their guests, as well as members of the Selection Committee and the Board of the O'Brien Foundation.

One of the greatest pleasures of the annual reception is renewing acquaintances with friends and former O'Brien Fellows, our valued "Alumni." For that reason, this announcement is mixed with regret. You will be missed! But we can all feel gratitude and pleasure in knowing that a ceremony will take place, and that it will be especially meaningful and memorable to those whom it is intended to celebrate, the O'Brien Fellows of 2020 and 2021.

I look forward to the unmitigated pleasure of introducing them to you to in the next (summer) edition of the O'Brien Foundation News, and to renewed hope of seeing 'old' faces next year. Here's wishing you ALL a safe, healthy, and happy summer!
